Wednesday, February 5th, 2014 Focus: The true secret of a great life is making a difference for others.

The true secret of a great life, as I see it, is making a difference for others. All else is empty. When we’re empowering others through our sharing, that’s when we get what we really, really want.

For most of us, life has been oriented around me, myself, and I. But at a certain point, that creates only emptiness. From there, we can easily end up medicated, physically exhausted or ill, depressed, or just plain unhappy. The key here is to look at the energy we’re exchanging with other human beings.

In life, you can either be an energy sucker or an energy creator. Are you someone who’s draining, or do you leave other people inspired? Consider who you are in relation to others’life force. Albert Schweitzer said, I don’t know what your destiny will be. But one thing I know: The only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.
